![]() I sure am sorry I listened to that person. When I needed a new computer and other equipment, I was steered toward Dell by a friend that knows more about computers than I do - I'd been an HP guy. I also read where at least one customer complained that Dell was changing customer complaint subjects, etc., so I figured I'd retrieve the complaints regarding the B1165 nfw printer before writing this. ![]() My next step in this gripe is to file a BBB complaint against Dell and furnish the complaints that I've gotten off of this site to demonstrate the magnitude of the problem. First of all, I purchased a NEW printer still under warranty (paying the NEW price), and now get it replaced with a refurbished printer? Secondly, in the blogs, one owner of the same printer has had theirs replaced 4 TIMES and it continues to have the same problem!!!! WHY DOES DELL IGNORE THIS ISSUE? And why do the techs I talk with act as if it's the first they've heard of the problem? There are a LOT of these printers out there that Dell has sold that continue to have this issue and Dell is stonewalling the customers. ![]() ![]() I just got off the phone (another hour wasted) with a Dell tech and he says I'm being sent a "refurbished" printer. I've researched this on the Dell website and find out many of the printers of this model out there do this and continue to do this. I've been on the phone on over 5 occasions, each time being told the last tech did not install the driver properly and that it would NOT happen again. The printer has never worked for more than a week or two and then it goes to sleep and will not connect to the Dell computer and will not print. I bought everything new, Dell AIO, the above printer and DVD burner.
